Hello Mike,
what a beauty! Damn this is a wonderful piece!

First: I´ve also no identical image or picture like you to identify right now.
Second: every centrifugal system at my movement list is at the right side of the balance cock. So no picture matches.
Third: By comparing the shape and design of the balance fixing brigde I guess to estimate this kind of caliber between "D" and "DV". It´s possible that your kind of centrifugal system was the first production if I look to your early number, later it turns from left to the right. Like a kind of negative design, you know. But this is only speculating.
Fourth: To proove my estimation, I need some time and pictures to compare.

I´ll keep you informing, what I´ll find out for you Mike.
Sending you my best regards
Tony

Tony,

Thanks for the fast response and confirmation. I found several similar movements but the placement of the repetition governor was always wrong relative to the balance. Any idea on jewel count? From what I can see 17 as it is jeweled to the center plus 2 for the governor and 2 each for 2 hammers (total 23? or another 2 for seconds which would not be visible and/or others?).

Thanks. You must be a night owl!

To answere some of your questions in the Rare LePhare thread, companies had different numbering systems (some were by type of watch/movement/complications etc or for other firms all in sequence). I am not aware of any historical LePhare records (Nachtmotte may know).

Hello Mike,
I wish I could tell you more about the history of Mr.Charles Barbezat and his company "Le Phare". See in Kathleen Pritchards wonderful books for information. As I told you, I´m working at the history about ANGELUS and LE PHARE. To complete and collect informations I´ve to search and lean a lot of horological books through our european universities also my relation to some swiss collectors. Especially one nice guy in Australia, who sended me very good pictures of an old Le Phare catalogue! With these pictures it was possible to see more than only two or three in some bokks showed movements.
But right now in case of yours: Mike, would it be a circumstance to send me your showed three pictures to my mail adress, would you? Possible I could observe the movement shape and find some details.
You took the expression "repetition governor" and I "centrifugal system". We mean the same round cage?
Sending you my best regards
Tony
