I Just bought this camera and i would like to know the best way to make close up shots and regular shots indoors.
I tried taking the picture through a eyeloupe and it worked not bad, except you can,t really get a large image.
I am investing in a lense for closeup work, right now i hold it in my hand and when the flash goes it washes out picture.I need to use a light source i guess and use no flash.
I need to get used to it more to get better pics.
Thanks on help and i will try to post pics, i am not up on all this high tech stuff yet.

Many digital camera will let you get very close provided you keep the lens set at the shortest focal length.

Your using an eye loupe is a crude way of attaching a closeup lens. Loupes are usualy too powerful. Try to get a lens that will slip over your regular lens so it is firmly attached and well centered. This also will let you get some distance bewteen teh camera and the work so you can get more light on it.

For a quick and dirty lighting use a polyethelyne jar or margarine tub, what ever has the right height and cut a hole for the lens. Then shine a lamp on the outside. This usually produces good lighting.

veritas,

It helps greatly if your camera has a macro focusing feature.

Also, you'll probably get some good tips in this thread (http://www.nawcc.org/ubb/Forum3/HTML/002933.html).

Mike
