"Eduard [Eppner] was a Watchmaker along with his brother Albert and his third, oldest brother [Wilhelm] in La-Chaux-de-Fonds. In 1852, together with Albert, he established a watch factory in Lahn, Germany , In 1869 the factory moved to Silberberg. There they undertook extensive production of quality pocket watches with a ¾-plate movement, after the design of Lange in Glashütte. The watches of the company ?Gebr. Eppner, Silberberg? are rare and on the Antiques market very much desired. Qualitatively they are only slighly inferior to the Glashutte watches."
