Ok, I thank all of you for your posts and for your help.
The front of my watch is posted a few posts down and the one with the pic here is the back. Can anyone give me any insight on this watch? The front of the atch just says 8 day.
You are all teriffic, and I am glad I found this board.

This fellow's question was swallowed in another topic. I'm going to try to pull it out and post below.

Here is the pic of the watch. I would like to know more about what I own. I believe It comes from Europe and it is 4 inches in diameter. Does this watch look familiar to anyone?

Can anyone give me some info about this watch. I believe this watch came from Germany. On the front the only marking is the words 8 days. To the left of the stem is a pin that when pushed allows the stem to be used to set the time. When this pin is not pushed the stem winds the watch. Opening the front gives me access to the front of the watch, however I can not figure how to remove the watch from the watch case. The back snaps open but does not get us to the back of the watch. Can anyone tell me how to open the back. The only marking I can find other than the 8 days on the front is on the inside of the back portion that snaps open. On it is what appears a symbol similar to a backward letter P, and under that is a number 7. In addition to those markings there is a 3195869. The 9 seems to have a straight line going up and down right thru the middle of the number. The case that holds it is made of wood with a hinged top. If anyone can shed any light on what kind of watch it is, where it came from and how I can disassemble the it to obtain more information, I would appreciate very much. Thank you for all your help thus far.
