Can anyone possibly direct me to where I can get information on the manufacturer of this watch?

It would be helpful if you could post a picture of the movement, the clearer and sharper, the better. A digital camera would be very helpful. For an open-face, screw back & bezel watch you can get good results by placing the movement on a flatbed scanner. We may be able to identify it by the shape of the plates. A hunting-case movement, or an open-face movement in a hinged case would have to be removed from the case for this to work. Otherwise, its back to the camera. Larry Jones has written up a useful article on Image Posting (http://www.larjones.com/data/imagehelp.html), which may be helpful. If you have a problem posting the picture, you can attach it to an e-mail to me (by clicking on the speeding letter at the top of my post) and I'll post it for you.
Its also helpful if you can post all the markings that are on the movement (the "works") in case they can't be seen in the picture(s).

Thanks Kent, I just happened to have gotten a digital camera for Christmas. I guess this will be a fine time to test my talents.
thanks again and have a great holiday.

I have 2 or 3 La Salle watches and all were made by New York Standard. The La Salle's I have are in 18 size & 6 size. The name "La Salle" will be on the larger winding wheel which by the way is a non functional wheel. Most serial numbers for this series are over 8 million and less than 8.2 mllion. Do you have a picture yet or a serial number. Hope this helps

Thanks for the information Virgil. No, I dont have the picture or serial number yet. I plan on working on getting that done this weekend.I'm in the middle of reassembling a grandfather movement and I want to make some room on my bench before I get into the pocketwatch. Have a good weekend.

I just came across this Lasalle 16S 11j serial number 8002681. I don't see any 11 jewel New York Standard Lasalle's listed in the Shugart book. Is it particularly rare?
