A google search for Roddin & Co. (http://www.google.com/search?as_q=&num=10&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=Roddin+%26+Co.&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=images) turned up reports of a reprint of an 1895 Roddin & Co. catalog and of a private label Elgin watch. These may be items to look for if you're really interested in this firm.
Good luck,
Steven Mercer

Kent, thanks. From what I could find apparently E.V. Roddin & Co. was a retailer of Jewelry, Watches, and Silverware.
Steve, I don't have access to the Ch. 149 thread, so here below is the information. You are welcome to add it.
Model 83: signed movement & dial "E.V. Roddin & Co. Chicago Ill.", s/n 4,261,653 original AWCO Waltham Coin silver case.
