I'm looking for information on an English watchmaker named Illington in Holbeck (a suburb of Leeds)around the year 1844. Ive searched the census records and discovered a number of Illingtons living in Leeds during the time period but none are listed as watchmakers. The closest match I found was a William Illington, shopkeeper, living at 24 West Street. Any information would be truly appreciated.

Walter,

All I came up with is a Benjamin Illingworth from Leeds 1850...Also listed Wm Illingworth 1838-1850..

I do not find any Illington in either Baillie or Britten. There is a V.2 of Baillie that I do not have and maybe he is in there?

Thank you for checking for me. The correct name is indeed Illingworth. I was given the the wrong information. Again thank you.
