If the marking on your watch is D&S with a 'G' surrounding it, it would be a Dietrich Gruen & Sons watch. Check out Paul Schliesser's Gruen Watch Website (http://www.pixelp.com/gruen/index.html) and see if anything looks familar.
If not, plese try and take a clear, sharp picture of the movement. Somebody here may be able to recognize it from the shape of the plates.
