Jon, I attempted to locate the original factory locatation. I know it was located next to a rail line that went from the City of San Diego to Coronado. Never could get any good landmark information though.. If you have any, let me know.

It is tough to get in timely replies, so here goes.

As I explained to other folks I have been there several times. In fact the once small Eucaliptus (spell?) tree (in one of the old factory pictures have) was still there the last time I visited the spot--but the tree was all grown up! However, with developement, that tree has got to be gone by now (it is vogue nowadays to remove all trees before construction).

I always search out an old brick or something from the factory (horologist Dr Dan Haff collects bricks from all over the USA), still am seeking an old stock certificate.

There are 2 resources that you should consult. The first is one or more contemporary San Diego City Directories for a street address, if you don't already have one.
The second, more important resource, is the city property maps. The property maps will have to be searched for the years when the factory was there, to obtain the section lot and block number. Then, look at more modern property maps to see what business is there now (and which businesses are nearby.)
