Hello All, and a Happy Boxing Day!
I am completely new to the world of pocket watches but would like to learn what I can about a Longines vintage piece. It is a sub-seconds chronometer watch, numbered 481626 on the movement...my father-in-law places its approximate birthdate as early 20th century.
I have researched my own vintage Omega w/w's with good results but do not know where to start with this Longines. Any advice will be most appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Yachtsman

Hi Yachtsman:

There isn't a serial number vs. grade list for Longines watches. It'd be very helpful if you can post a picture of your watch, especially the movement.

Its also helpful if you can post all the markings that are on the movement (the "works") in case they can't be seen in the picture(s).

Good luck,

Kent,
Thanks for the response--I'll work on getting pix posted over the next couple of days.

Cheers,
