Hi Susie,
Steve has covered most of the details of your watch regarding it being made for a blind person and all I can add is that the Felsenburg trade mark, with the castle, was first registered in 1887, to; MONTILIER WATCH Co. SA, Montilier, Morat.
It is Swiss made and appears to be a "cylinder" escapement.
The case does not appear to be gunmetal by the look of it in your pictures, it looks more like silver,but you would need to ask a jeweler about that.
There may also be a possibility that your case could actually be aluminium as this maker is known to have been associated with casemaking in this metal.
Hope this helps, Barry

ADDITIONAL INFO.RECEIVED;
From Tony Harrison-Smith on September 18,

The exact same trademark of a castle with Felsenburg underneath is ALSO the trademark of a German watch company called
Duerrstein & Co.
They were based in Dresden-Altstart in Germany. The company seems to have
been around from about 1895 to at least after 1912. They also used other tradenames such as
?Columbus? and ?Union?.

It now appears that the same trademark was used in both Switzerland by Montilier and in Germany by Duerrstein & Co.

Just a speculation, but I would guess that the date could be the birthdate of the first owner of the watch.
