Doxa has a website where you might be able to get answers to your questions. I do not recall their URL offhand, but I know that www.sub300t.com (http://www.sub300t.com) has a link to Doxa. Also, Geraldine from Doxa regularly posts responses to questions that are placed on the 300T forum.
That forum is primarily dedicated to the 1960s and later diver's watches, but they address earlier vintages also.
