Eric,

I can't help you with your watch, but you can email me the picture and I'll post it for you. Just click on the speeding letter at the top of this message.

Alternatively, Larry Jones has created a page on image posting (http://www.larjones.com/data/imagehelp.html) that is quite helpful.

Finally, if you complete the registration process on this message board and supply your email address, others will be able to get in touch with you using the 'speeding letter' link as well.

Good Luck,
Mike

Essentially this same question has been asked here at least two different times in the last year or so. I don't have time right now to search for the old topics, but by clicking on the "search" feature above, and searching for words like "Rockford pendant," or "Rockford lever," I'm sure they can be found.

Eric,
You are exactly right, and those two tone movements are sure pretty. They always apeared to be art deco like to me, even tho they were made many years before that period.
Be forewarned though, don't play around with the settings, they are many times inoperable or missing parts. I am sorry Steve did have time to tell you that the topic has been talked about before, but not time enough to provide any answer  I was only able to find one thread where this was discussed here http://www.nawcc.org/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001660.html
It seems from your serial # you are a pretty new member, don't worry most of us are ok after we have had our morning coffee. Feel free to post anytime!

Eric,

Here's a link to the other similar topic I was thinking about: http://www.nawcc.org/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000646.html

I'm sorry that I didn't have more time to reply to your question earlier, but I really was in a rush! I'm also sorry Rick didn't have more time to check out the other three "hits" generated by a search for the words I suggested, "Rockford pendant," as this is how I found the second topic now provided above.

In any event, I think between those two threads, you should be able to get a pretty good understanding of things. If you have any additional questions, however, please don't hesitate to ask!

Hi All,
I just happen to be working on one of these jewels at this time. When I took the barrel bridge off the stem was out so the parts fell out of place.Having never seen one or heard of one before I had a time getting it all back together.I think(hope) all the parts are there.BUT,far be from me to tell you how to fix yours.I haven't got this one in the case yet.
Good Luck,

Eric,
I was one of the two that have had the same question over the past few months. I received some great input about it which I will attempt to pass to you. The screw on the back plate that you can turn to the P or L position is called a Switch Arbor (Rockford Pt #433). Its purpose is to swith between pendant set and lever set. Not sure if yours is functioning, however, there are at least 3 other parts that are part of the switch arbor assembly. They are a locking bar with spring (Pt #431), a pendant shell (Pt #434), and, pendant stem (Pt #432).

Greg Frauenhoff had one of these in Orlando last week. He had done some work to get it operating. The mechanism actually either enabled or disabled stem setting. In the lever position, the pendant setting does not function. In the pendent position both the lever and the pendent function.
