Thanks Boiz,
Now that my ankle seems to be on the mend, I will try to get back to a regular "Watch of the Month". Please feel free to send me nominations. They don't have to be Illinois watches!

Great watch! I have a Bunn [not "special"] with a similar dial:

Not quite as "plain" as yours, but I've always thought it was a bit odd that the marginal numbers were black instead of red.
Barry
[oops, never mind. I just noticed that my dial is identical to the first one you picture in your Arabic Bunn Dials (http://www.interstatetime.com/Broke/Slide_32.htm) gallery...]

Barry,
I have found dials like yours mainly on 17j "Wavy Line" Bunns. I guess I have seen a couple on the earlier "First Pattern" 17j Bunns too.

John: Well, I'm not sure of the difference between a "Wavy Line" and a "First Pattern" Bunn, to be honest. Here's a pic of the movement that belongs to the dial I showed above:

barry,
methinks that is a first circular pattern.
the wavy pattern resembles the ribbon pattern seen on Sangamo grades.

Terry is right, and I looked and I have also have a first circular with the same dial. I always wondered if it was right, so maybe the fact the Barry has one too would lead me to think it is.
Thanks
