Please advise me as to the part number of the mainspring that fits a Waltham pocketwatch having the serial number 14166855. Thanks.

You have a 0 size model 1900. It should take a Waltham 2228 mainspring. The modern Bestfit spring is a JA731. 15" long, 1.70 mm wide and 0.12 mm thick.

To add to Don's post, in Dennison, it is 8 wide and strength is 9 1/2.
