Hi for all,

I saw this movement in auction in the Ebay, I think that it is a Patek.

I didn’t bid it, due it was in dead hour, but I am curious about it.

Some friend can say me if it is really a Patek and that type of complication is this movement.

Bellow is some photos of the movement.

Regards,

Paulo

Paulo,
Based on the shape of the hairspring stud, the index lever and the shape of the plates, my personal opinion is that it is not a Patek. However, what I do see is a symbol stamped on the pillar plate near the escape wheel and the pallet fork. A clear close-up scan of this symbol may give us a definitive answer as to who the manufacturer actually was. The symbol is blurry, but my guess is that it may be C. H. Meylan or J. J. Baddolette.

I agree with Ed. The lower balance jeweling lacks the Patek style. The lever is not Patek style either.

Hi,

I am thankful the friends for the information.
I had more a lesson of as to recognize a Patek.
Although it is a beautiful movement, I am glad that I did not buy it.

Regards,

Paulo
