Hi, I JUST GOT A ILLINIOS # 18 SIZE POCKET WATCH THAT IS A BUNN SPECIAL WITH 24 RUBY JEWELS,ADJUSTED, OPEN FACE SERIAL# 1413418. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS THE CORRECT CASE (1901). THANK-YOU BOBN

Hi BOBN:

Going by your movement's serial number, it was built in the late 1890s. Take a look in the case ads of that era (1895-1902), which may be found in the "Documents & Pictures" section of Wayne Schlitt's Elgin Website (see below). Since the watch wasn't factory-cased, any of the available 18-size cases would be appropriate. See: <span class="ev_code_brown">www.elginwatches.org/scans/index.html</span>
