I have been pursuing this watch for a couple of months now because of the interesting regulator. It took a bit of digging, but I found the patent in the U.S. Patent database.

Very nice Tom.

Here's another application of that regulator. the movement is a 16-size, 20-jewel Agassiz. Somehow, it doesn't look quite as nice as yours.

Do you know the function of the tall balance cock screw? How close is your serial number to mine?

Kent the full page on the watch is here. Oliver Regulator (http://www.awco.org/European/ClevelandAgassiz/cleveland.htm). The two watches look a lot alike, but mine is a 14 size, not a 16 size although it is very thick. In proportion it is like the Waltham 1884 models.

It is 20 jewel and the serial number is 29891.

The tall screw has no special function that I can see other than decorative. I suppose it does prevent one from adjusting the regulator with a fingernail easily.
