Folks,

My 992B that I carry runs consistently 10 seconds fast per day. How far should i back off the regulator screw? I am sorry if my terms are wrong. I am new at this stuff.

Check out my new signature.

John,

Try backing off 1/2 turn and let it run for a day or so, then keep backing off 1/2 turn per day until you inevitably go too far.

Having said that, how long has it been since the watch was cleaned? Dry or dirty pallet stones and many other things, like being out of beat can cause timeing problems. If the watch is not running right, regulating it with the regulator screw is just a bandaid.

Glad to have you in the group. The nice thing about the NAWCC, is that it gives you many places to ask questions. Show the watch to an old timer at your next local chapter meeting.

Good luck

John,
Are you carrying this watch? One thing to be aware of is if the watch is in one of those display domes that allow the watch to swing to and fro. It will make the watch run faster than usual.
