Unknown watch maker

I inherited a key wound "fine silver" cased "A Mathey" pocket watch. This watch requires a key to wind it, and another to set it. Both the bezel and back open.

As a newbie, how do I date this instrument, or find information regarding the manufacturer?

The case includes the number 47115, and has an engraved belt around the letters "AM" on the inside of the back bezel.
