Dave,

such hunting cases must exist. All E. Howard watches (except the keywinds, ladies, "G" size ones, and the converted Prescotts) were stemwind that came in a case without the lever slot cutout. True, E. Howard cases do not interchange with an 18 size, but that does not mean that 18 size cases were only made with lever slot cutouts. I'll take a look through my cases and let you know if I find one.

Dave, One reason that stem set hunter cases are so scarce is that many of the 18 size movements of the era of hunter case popularity were only available in lever set configuration. Many Waltham grades were pendant set as open face and lever set as hunter. Keith
