I found these on ebay and thought Terry Hall would like to add them to his database. I emailed both sellers and they both said that all numbers match.

Terry I noticed in the 992B the seller states that the inside back cover says The inside of the back case has "Wadsworth Base Metal" Pat.5-22-26. Have you ever seen one that was marked this way?

I beleive the 992B is all orginal but the 950B is stated as not being orginal to the watch.

The serial number is S14009 which dates the movement back to about 1951. When I first saw this piece, I thought it was completely original as it left the factory, however, after doing some reasearch, it appears that these cases were produced several years prior to the serial number on the movement or sometime in the 1940's. I know that this watch was bought and put into a private collection in the early 1970's and was kept there until I purchased it so I am quite sure that it wasn't mixed and matched recently. The case looks to have only held this particular movement so the only conclusion I can draw is that maybe the movement was upgraded at some point by the original owner into an older stock yet higher grade case

Thanks for the heads up on these.

This is the second 950B I have seen cased like this... The factory literature does not support this combination, but... stranger things have happened...

The 992B from england was in database, but you brought up an interesting point that I had missed before.

The H prefix cases have a change in the markings... the patent date disappears. We have seen this even on non tu tone cases and are trying to narrow down the serial number range that this occurs.

The english watch H798169 has the date.
H833667, which I own, does not.

The way the numbers are running... H800,000 may be the ticket.....too early to tell.
