Glenn,

For what it's worth, the part you lost is called the "hour wheel," and the wheel that drives it is called the "minute wheel." I always used to get the names of these confused until someone finally told me the way to keep them straight is to remember that the hour hand fits onto the hour wheel. Since thinking of it that way, I've never again had any trouble remembering which one's which.

The minute hand, however, does not fit onto the minute wheel, as one might suppose; it fits onto the cannon pinion! Contrary to popular belief, the cannon pinion is not so named because it somewhat resembles a cannon, but rather because in mechanics, a "cannon" is defined as "a hollow, cylindrical piece that revolves or is capable of revolving on and independently of a shaft."

Good news!
I found the missing part!!!
Thanks for the offer Brian, looks like I won't need it.
I learned a valuable lesson from that though.
I think I'll always work OVER the bench from now on! The watch is running great, and was a good deal for the $40.
Thanks again.
Regards,
Glenn
