Well, as I promised, due to the overwhelming amount of help and support you've all given me, I've renewed my membership which lapsed over five years ago. This forum is a godsend and a great comfort when all the pieces don't make sense!
I hope to attend the courses and suitcase classes soon as well. Hopefully my schedule will free up soon. Thank you all again, Chris

Chris, glad to have you back.
Out of curiousity, did the club send you any notices when you failed to pay, like reminders.
I know how magazines keep sending notices when you fail to renew, just wonder if the club has any follow through like that. If not, maybe they should

Chris,
Just prior to starting this post, I checked to find that there were 14 registered users of this MB on line at that moment, some of whom are NAWCC members and some who are not. There were also 44 non-registered users of this message board on line, some of whom are members of the NAWCC, and some who are not. But most of the 58 on line at that time (likely) are not NAWCC members. I hope that non NAWCC members who use this MB don't consider that they are freeloading! Join when you are ready, but in the meantime, welcome!

back a few weeks ago we had a similar discussion and I and my wife joined via internet.
my question is how long till they let me know something? Richard told me to give it a few weeks and I still havent heard anything via em ail or snailmail. Im just concerned that maybe My transaction didnt go through or something. I didnt even get a email conformation after signing up online. can someone give me an idea of how long the process is to joining the NAWCC.....WR

WR, welcome aboard. Your membership will likely arrive shortly by snail mail. If you aren't sure they got your application, try emailing the club office for a confirmation. They may be backed up due to summer holidays and such...

I can't remember what they sent me when my membership lapsed so many years ago; I believe they sent me a reminder, but I just wasn't interested at that point.
I welcome anyone to this forum, registered or not. I just couldn't think of a better word to describe how I felt getting all this great advice without being a member. I'd like to see more sign up as well. I have no problem paying dues for a club as wonderful as this one.
Thanks again everyone for your help, past, present and future. Chris

You know what doug, I have been a non member for well over year or so. and that got me to thinking, Its time to stop being a leach, and just join. So that is what I did, and my wife also. so we are the newest members of the NAWCC and it feels wonderful . Now there are 25002 members. Anyone else like to make it 25003?
Thanks Doug............WR

You posted the above on July 4, and today is the 17th! You have your membership notification. Less than two weeks for it to happen. The seemingly looooooonnnnnng wait is over. Look forward in the next couple weeks for your August BULLETIN and Mart. Then, get together with your wife, check the coming events section in the back of the BULLETIN for regional conventions, and plan your holiday schedule.

thanks Doug, sure seemed like a lot longer than that. I get that way when Im waiting on a clock or watch that I have bought too, guess I need to just chill. I just get so excited about clocks that I think about them every waking minute and it just seems like a lot longer time has went by. Im clock crazy! Is there a cure?
as far as the nationals this september, I already know I cant go. That might be something to look foward to in the coming years, but not this year.
thanks for all the help.......wr
