dial feet

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the dial feet on a 16 size 992 Hamilton dial are spaced the same as the dial feet on a 996 Hamilton dial. In other words, can I put a 992 dial on a 996 (both open faced). Thanks John

If both dials are three footed, then yes...

If both dials have four feet, then yes..

if one is four and one is three, then no...

and hunter and open face dials interchange...
