We can't really address the question of value here, at least not in any direct way. I can suggest that you check eBay for comparables. But what I think you'll find is that it isn't worth enough to worry about insuring it. If you just want to sell it, eBay is definitely the way to find out what the market is willing to pay.

Kelly,
Watch cases were typically made separately from the watch movements by special watch case companies, and the two parts were then often joined together at the time of sale. So it is not unusual to have a Rockford watch in a case made by the Keystone Watch Case Company.
There is no way to tell for sure whether the case on your watch is the one it was originally sold in, but there are often some telltale signs that indicate if it is not the original case. In particular, the movement is held into place by two case screws that tend to leave an indendation along the back edge of the case, and different watch models have case screws in diffrent positions. If there are extra scew marks, this is a clear sign that another watch was originally in the case. Obviously, though, this doesn't help if the replacement case had never been used before or if it held a similar model previously (meaning the case screws would be in the same location).
Regards,
Barry
