Would any one know what the small silver screw is for, that is located next to the plate screw..just under the winding wheel.. A model 72, with Serial number 670687.. Hunting movement..It is also a pin set model, were many of the pin set made??

Maybe the let down screw??? Some of the early 72's have them.
Sorry, can't help you on the number of pin set versions made.
P.S. I just saw your picture on the 185 board, and it is the let down screw. Look's like a 16j Am'n grade. I have one almost identical but lever set.

Thanks much.. That is what I thought but asking is quicker that disassembling... :biggrin:...And I do think it is a 16 jewel...
