Museum admissions were down in February as compared to a year ago by 7.5%, totaling $2,791.50, but less down than last month's 13%. The museum's gift shop sales continued to exceed last year's total, increasing 17%, including pre-sales of upcoming books and the gift shop showed a profit of $1,732.
A marketing strategy to promote museum visitation which includes a broad program of brochure distribution and paid media advertising is in place.
