kevin,
The books I have bought have all been extremely helpful in my endeavor and I advise getting your hands on as many as you can, however the best video tapes I have found for hands on instruction are by john tope at tick tock productions. ticktockpro (http://www.ticktockpro.com) is the website. These tapes are the best at showing you things down to minute detail. It is just like having him there with you. The only thing you will regret is that you cannot have him hands on.
Highly recommend. Tapes worth every penny to me.
good luck!
Edited to combine two posts.

In that last reply, it had a link to Ticktocpro. I try to go to that website, but every time I do, I get a Javascript error and it shuts down explorer!Does it do this with anyone else, or am I just an oddball?

I had no trouble getting the website of tictockpro, but he doesn't list any prices at
all, that I could see ??

 Umm, Carroll? That would be under the "How to order" segment of the web site.
(Took me awhile to learn where to find these things, too!)

 The tapes are $85.00 bucks including shipping for 4 hrs of lessons in each series of 2 tapes! He takes pay pal and ships right away. Great to work with, plus he will sponsor you for NAWCC membership.

Another option is the course now being offered by AWI. This is basically similar to the one previously offered by Laurie Penman and Steven Conover but now being marketed by AWI with Laurie providing mentorship. It is fairly expensive (I believe the course is $750.00 for AWI members), but looks to be pretty comprehensive.
