The case maker is likely to be Richard Neale of Coventry who first registered his mark in 1827.
I can't find "Hardy Brothers" listed in any of the standard watch books.
The watch is what is usually described as a English Fusee Lever.
By the way, do you know what the "act of courage" was ?
