Hamilton 940 Question

The 1916 Hamilton Time Book shows the 940 with two round screws. Dogged screws might have been furnished at some other time, but not being able to find any information saying so,I just don't know.

Lyle,
I assume by "dogged" you mean flat on one side? If so, I have always thought that these screws were modified by various watchmakers along the way. (One exception to this would be some European watches that have a flat sided screw on the underside of the pillar plate.) By modified, I mean filed, and most of these that you look at will have file marks on the flat side. I would be really surprised if any manufacturer ever made anything other than round headed screws for case mounting.
I have a number of new old stock Hamilton case screws, all are round.
