Without seeing it I can not tell you for sure, but is it a modern watch resembling the old?

Yes, and I believe these are later watches, say after 1940/50???

I am fimaliar with Westpointers. The movement is usually a Reconvilliers 77 and some were 7 jewel. It was a low grade watch at best.I have a bunch of parts in my junk drawer.
They were sold in the 50's in my area.By 1962-3 all were junked around here as far as I know.

Please note that we don't discuss values on this message board. You might want to check out the archives at ebay for information regarding previous sales of Westpointer watches. Opinions can vary greatly about values of anything in particular. The best perspective on values of such things comes from those who have actually laid down money to buy them.

The brand "West Pointer" was used by the Lugerman & Morrison, Inc. of NYC back about 1916.

The Savoy Watch Company of NYC marketed "West Pointer Watches" from 1936 but their trademark application has reference to the Lugerman & Morrison trademark date. I do not know if there was any connection between L & M and Savoy.

My trademark reference shows both hallmarks and they are virtually identical.
