Brian,
I am unable to tell you anything about your watch since you give so few details. However, Karl Kochmann does list this company. Phenix was a brand name for Dubail, Monnier, and Frossard, manufacturers of watches, watch cases, and dials(?), Porrentruy, Switzerland. Their trade mark for Phenix as shown in Kochmann is a Phoenix (sp?) with wings spread hovering over a bed of flames, all atop a banner with PHENIX on it. This particular trade mark was listed in 1888 (Feb. 13). This company also used the names EXTRA, LUTECE, and RHEIN on watches.
If you can post a picture of the watch, we may be able to tell you more.
Regards to a brother Canuck,
Doug S.
