I've reposted this request as its own thread, so that the subject is self-explanatory.

I wish to compile serial number data on Mahnattans and New York Chrongraph watches & movements. I will be glad to put it all together (maybe a little slowly). The main items seem to be:

Movement serial number
Case material - nickel/gold fill/decoration/etc.
Case Style - Open/hunter
Sweep hand - yes/no (if minute post is hollow, there is supposed to be a sweep hand)
Stop mechanism - yes/no (there will be two small buttons instead of one)
Barrel bridge - yes/no
Winding click - pivoted & spring, or one piece
Dial - paper/porcelain
Chronograph - yes/no (angled button at 11:00, & watch continues running when timer stopped)
3/4 plate 16 size - yes/no

Would love to get data and an understanding of Manhattan production.

Mike

Thanks Terry, but so far I have been unable to acceess that material. I have tried unsuccessfully to register and log in. Is it possible for you to copy and paste the information over to here? - Mike

Terry, thanks for the info. I received the photos. The dial is about 16-size, but the movement is about 17-size. The watch has a number of odd features like that.
