It is my dream since I first saw and was fascinated by the tourbillion pocket watch in New York.

I am sure that it is going to be very tough to build a tourbillion from scratch but I think using parts watches there might be better chance building one.

I saw one tourbillion using Waltham 1883movement at NAWCC museum site.[Members' Contribution Gallery]

I wish I could make one like that.

If you could help me with my life time project, I really appreciate your inputs.

I think your project sounds great. I have always been rather interested in tourbillions and how they operate to remove postion errors within the escapement.

I know it will take you some time. I am into a skeleton watch that I have worked on for the last 3 years off and on. I need to do more on the pillar plate and them make the dial, but it will be worth while.

It is our of a Waltham 1883 also.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
